The wines of Josko Gravner are famous for a reason. His connection with the land he lives and farms shines through, with layers and layers of complexity in this wine that is extremely hard to come by. Incredible. 

This is 100% Ribolla, a variety that has been cultivated in the Friuli Venezia Giulia area for more than a thousand years.  The wine undergoes natural fermentation in Georgian amphorae that is buried underground. After a long maceration it is pressed and put back into amphorae for five months before being aged in large oak barrels for six years. Yep, six years.
